Description:
The AlpenRose is not just a restaurant. Its an idea: to bring an authentic taste of the Alps to downtown Holland. To the average passerby, the Alps probably sparks visions of Lederhosen and oompah bands, but the famed European mountain range actually carves through countries as diverse as Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland a cornucopia of cultures and cuisines which can all claim the title Alpen.
Years before our 1991 opening, many of us who were involved in developing this idea called AlpenRose, began cultivating an ever-deepening affinity for the people and places of the region. We hope that our on-going love affair is reflected, not only in the food we prepare and the service we deliver, but throughout the AlpenRose facility itself.
Entering the AlpenRose, its hard to image that this building once housed a run-of-the-mill discount store. The AlpenRose is wall-to-wall wood, even support columns and ceiling rafters display exquisite wooden carvings of the AlpenRose a rhododendron type flower found throughout the Alps.
Our dream of bringing Alpen charm to West Michigan is reflected in our multiple dining rooms as well. From our family-oriented Kitzbuhel ski lodge; to the classical, fine-dining elegance of our Salzburg room; to the tasteful banquets available in the Garmisch room: AlpenRose is a magnificent microcosm of the many dining experiences available in the Alpen region.

BREAKFAST
Breakfast at the AlpenRose Restaurant include dishes such as Eggs Benedict, Frittata Style Omelets, Belgian Waffles, Pancakes & such.
LUNCH
The AlpenRose Restaurant's Lunch Menu is far to extensive to mention everything here but you'll enjoy Starters like Maryland Crab Cakes, Risotto Milanese and Cheese bread. You can even enjoy a late breakfast dish like Black Forest Omelets and various quiches. Light appetites can take pleasure in hot soups which include French Onion and Austrian Steak Goulash or freshly prepared salads like Corn Flake Chicken, Sesame Chicken or Spinach. Hearty sandwiches are also offered at the AlpenRose ranging from a Monte Cristo to Fire Grilled Burgers. And of course exceedingly delicious entrees such as Jumbo Florentine Ravioli, Wood Fire Grilled Salmon and even a 10oz Cut of Prime Rib are also offered!
DINNER
A dining experience at the AlpenRose Restaurant all begins with small plates or starter you'll truly enjoy. Jumbo Sea Scallops, Baked Brie, and Bourbon Bite to mention but a few. Maybe then a bowl of French Onion Soup or House Salzburg Salad is in order. Then to a main entree such as a steak, maybe the AlpenRose Montreal Salt Crusted Prime Rib, a Rib Eye or Filet. Or possibly European or American favorites, a plate of Jager Schnitzel, Fire Roasted Garlic Shrimp, Pretzel Crusted Walleye, or even Mint & Garlic Pesto Marinated Rack of Lamb! What ever you choose, it will be an experience in fine dining at the AlpenRose Restaurant!

I kove to try unique restaurants and dishes, and Alpen Rose delivers both. I would highly recommend the Butternut Squash Lasagna!
